C2V has added a new module to its planar waveguide design and simulation platform Olympios
This module allows for the calculation of device yields for specified performance criteria and statistical process data.
At the core of the yield simulation engine are C2V's existing proprietary numerical (optical) simulation engines, combined with Monte Carlo methods and clever fitting procedures to minimize the simulation time required.
Using this module, design engineers can obtain very easily a quantitative understanding of the impact of process variations on device yield.
Combining this module with the unique OlympIOs scripting capabilities, they can even program automatic design optimization sequences to minimize device sensitivity to the most relevant process parameters.
With this new development C2V has added yet another unique module to its OlympIOs platform, focusing on 'design for manufacturability' and confirmed its position as the leading provider of design and simulation software for the professional integrated optic design engineer.
