Don Whitley Scientific has launched the 2D-series of double door floor-standing horizontal autoclaves, the latest addition to the Systec D range
Safely linking different areas within a laboratory, the double-door autoclaves are built into the wall between two rooms and provide a completely gas tight interface.
Removing the need to transport items to and from the autoclaving area using trolleys, the autoclaves allowed controlled and direct transfer of sterilised items into the laboratory, and of contaminated items out of the laboratory for sterilisation and safe disposal.
Only one door can be opened at a time as both doors are interlocked.
The 2D autoclaves are available in 95, 150 and 200 litre volumes, and are part of a range that brings together reduced cycle times, innovative design and intelligent software to meet the needs of today's laboratory.
Advanced system and process technology has been used to optimise temperature and pressure regulation within the chamber, and increase the rate of the heating phase by up to 50% when compared with conventional autoclaves.
Spray cooling is one of a number of options available to significantly reduce cooling times, by up to 90%.
To ensure regulatory compliance, all models in the range can be fully validated and offer a choice of 12 sterilisation programmes and an optional printer to provide detailed records of all essential parameters.
Validation information can also be downloaded to a PC, for which easy to use software is available for comprehensive data manipulation and diagnostic protocols.
With Ukas laboratory accreditation and BS EN ISO 9001:2000 approval, Don Whitley Scientific can provide calibration and validation services for all autoclaves.
