Vögtlin Instruments has launched a 3-contact alarm module with remote alarm reset for its red-y compact 2 series gas mass flow meter.
Initially released in 2001, the red-y compact 2 mass flow meter is suitable for scientific gas flow measurements from 0-10 sccm up to 480 slpm.
Following a complete re-engineering last year, it operates on one single AA battery for up to six months, on a Micro-USB power supply or optionally 12…30 Vdc on permanent supply.
Users can set more than 20 flow units and adjust almost 50 variables via the touch screen, and without computer connection.
The unit can be supplied with up to three different gases or gas mixtures, has a dynamic range of up to 100 : 1 and an accuracy of ±1% of full scale.
The new alarm module, which can also be retrofitted to red-y compact 2 devices features:
- Three alarm contacts (relays that can switch up to 1 amp, 30 Vdc).
- Two optical isolated input channels (to optionally reset an alarm remotely).
- Alarm contacts separately settable as high, low, window or totaliser alarm.
- Customer configurable hysteresis, delay and alarm duration time.
