Lamy Rheology has produced an application file discussing the choice of spindle types for the investigation of non-blended set yoghurt when using their RM200 Touch viscometer.
The gelified texture, at rest, of non-blended set yoghurt can be a challenge for viscosity tests that use cylindrical spindles.
Lamy Rheology Instruments has produced an application file detailing the use of their intuitive RM200 Touch universal viscometer with two different measuring systems: the MS-DIN13 and the MK-VANE 6P. Flow curves for the two different spindles, produced with their Rheomatic-P software, clearly show significant differences, indicating the importance of choosing the right geometry for the sample you are analysing. In this instance the MK-VANE 6P proved the best choice.
