Anton Paar has detailed the used of its alcohol monitor with L-Dens 417 Ex sensor in measuring alcohol concentration.
Well-defined alcohol content is an obligatory parameter in the production of alcoholic beverages in order to ensure constant quality in industrial production and for governmental and taxation regulations.
There are several common technologies for the measurement of the alcohol concentration, including hydrometers, density meters or NIR spectrometers. Anton Paar’s alcohol monitor, equipped with the inline density sensor L-Dens 417 Ex and an mPDS 5 evaluation unit, provides continuous alcohol concentration measurement with an accuracy of up to ±0.05%.
