Alpha Laboratories has developed the Advanced Pipetting Academy to address the unique requirements of individual laboratories.
The Academy is a progression on Alpha Laboratories and Sartorius' popular training programme covering correct pipetting techniques, the ergonomic use of pipettes, basic service and maintenance of pipettes in everyday laboratory use. The ISO9001 and ISO 13485 accredited training programme brings together the expertise and experiences of technical specialists, third party consultants and end-users.
Extended modules cover Advanced Pipetting Techniques, Pipette Service, Advanced Ergonomics and Cell Culture Techniques. Each module can be taken individually or combined to create a learning experience best suited laboratory requirements.
Application-based training includes participation in hands-on sessions, with ongoing support provided via a support site with a wide range of educational videos and presentations.
A pipette’s performance is heavily dependent on the skill and expertise of the operator, so incorrect handling can compromise the quality of results and cause repetitive strain injuries. Through the Advanced Pipetting Academy, users
receive practical training on pipetting techniques to help them achieve more accurate and precise results. They will gain a better understanding of the ergonomic risks of pipetting in the laboratory environment and learn how to minimise these
risks by choosing appropriate working postures, liquid handling instruments and accessories.
