The STARLAB group have produced a video detailing their CytoOne® Bottle Top Filtration Units, which are eminently suitable for the sterile filtration of tissue culture and microbial media, buffers, as well as reagents and other laboratory solutions.
The CytoOne® Bottle Top Filtration Units have an ergonomic bottle shape design, with moulded finger grips and a patented SECUREgrasp cap. They are available as 250 ml, 500 ml or 1000 ml complete systems and ‘funnel-only’, and include an adapter for connection to a vacuum hose.
These Filtration Units have High Flow Velocity 0.2 μm polyethersulfone (PFS) membranes which are low protein binding and pryogen, heavy metal, endotoxin and surfactant free. The combination of membrane and design makes the CytoOne® Bottle Top Filtration Units particularly suited for filtering fetal bovine serum and viscous microbial media.
