Scientists use tools – each serving a specific purpose – to support productivity and help deliver great results. But each of bit of equipment also has its own unique sound, which often just becomes familiar background noise.
Starlab has had some fun recording some of those sounds, using products ranging from mixers and vortexes to shakers and stirrers to compose the ‘Sound of Starlab’. The resulting piece features some of the company’s most most popular pieces of equipment, including the Thermomixer Mixer HC which can carry out the work of several other pieces of equipment in one small unit; the GuardOne workstation, which is a workspace suitable for sensitive and critical applications requiring a clean environment or protection from potential contamination by bacteria, DNA or RNA, and; the Rotator Mixer, a compact, multifunctional unit that provides thorough mixing of microtubes with consistent results.
The resulting sound is a unique tune made entirely from sounds generated by Starlab equipment. The Sound of Starlab video and tune reflects the corporate design and quirky vibe that Starlab customers expect from the brand.
