The Scientific Laboratory Show and Conference 2020 will once again bring together scientists, speakers and exhibitors from across the scientific community at the East Midlands Conference Centre at the University of Nottingham on Wednesday 20th May 2020.
The free event, organised by Scientific Laboratory Supplies (SLS) promises to be even bigger than last year, offering visitors the opportunity to meet like-minded people, learn new things and see the very best scientific technology and equipment for the laboratory.
SLS will be working once more with the Science Council to offer a range of masterclasses, some of which count towards CPD, Keynote speakers are Dr Tara Shine, an expert in the field of climate change and climate justice, and Professor Richard Wiseman, who was described in Scientific American as one of the most interesting and innovative experimental psychologists in the world today.
Tara has dedicated more than 20 years of her life to the pursuit of fairness between people and people and the planet. Richard – listed by the Independent on Sunday as one of the top 100 people who make Britain a better place to live – will be giving a talk on The Luck Factor: Why do some people lead happy successful lives whilst others face repeated failure?
In addition to the varied conference schedule, delegates can take advantage of the Science Council’s Professional Development Zone (PDZ), and engage with relevant bodies including the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Royal Society of Biology, the Institute of Physics, the Institute of Science and Technology, the National Technician Development Centre and the Institute of Biomedical Science.
The show will bring together more than 60 exhibitors from across the scientific laboratory supply chain, with a number launching new products at the event.
