The BI-MwA Multi-Angle Light Scattering (MALS) system from Testa Analytical Solutions e.K. is a high-performance detector for studying proteins or polymers in solution as well as investigating aggregation, oligomerisation, and complex formation.
The system enables users to eliminate SEC/GPC column calibration and improve data quality with simple to use but sophisticated features. Users simply inject a sample into the low-volume, seven-angle flow cell. It is then illuminated by a temperature stabilised, precision power-controlled diode laser. The ultra-stable, high-sensitivity, low-noise CCD detector automatically collects the scattered light, and software extrapolates the data to zero angle for precise absolute molecular weight determination.
Compact in design, the flow path of the BI-MwA is vertical to avoid trapped bubbles. The flow cell features only conical shapes, with no share corners for easier flushing of previously analysed samples are much more easily flushed out.
