UK Biocentre and Eurofins Genomics initiative aims to simplify project management

UK Biocentre and Eurofins Genomics have combined forces to provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ they claim will simplify genomic project management in the UK.
Their integration partnership links leaders in sample management/high-capacity bioprocessing (UK Biocentre) and biological testing (Eurofins Genomics) with the aim of offering substantial research capacity and clinical genomic services.
"Eurofins Genomics welcomes the partnership with UK Biocentre, a world-leading biorepository. Combining our expertise in biorepository, extraction, and genomic sequencing has created a turnkey solution for genomic projects in the UK," said Eurofins Senior Director, Consumer & Population Genomics Daniel Langhoff.
The duo intend that the combination of sample collection, storage and extraction, together with UK-based genomic sequencing capabilities, will cater for the market in large genomic projects and population health research studies.
UK Biocentre CEO Tony Cox said the company was committed to delivering the broadest possible access to high-quality, efficient biosample processing and clinical genomics.
“Our partnership with Eurofins creates exciting opportunities for the UK population and healthcare researchers to access a new range of cost-effective end-to-end analysis services,” he added.
