KNAUER and LABOMATIC to cooperate for market share

LABOMATIC Instruments AG and KNAUER Wissenschaftliche Geräte GmbH have announced a “strategic cooperation”.
The German firms said they aim to combine their complementary offers in order to provide a larger portfolio to their respective customer bases including end users, sales partners and OEM customers.
KNAUER manufactures high-tech laboratory instruments for research, routine analysis, quality assurance and other applications, including analytical liquid chromatography systems.
LABOMATIC manufactures preparative and process HPLC systems and components, also for use in ATEX and GMP areas. Its second field is liquid handling systems.
LABOMATIC CEO Claude Marchand said cooperation enabled the opportunity to acess a wider audience and strengthen market presence..
KNAUER MD Carsten Losch, added: “The collaboration will improve both our market positions.”
The cooperation between the two companies includes agreements in the area of both sales and service of the instruments covered by the cooperation.
Labomatic Instruments AG has been active in the liquid chromatography market for more than four decades.
It specialises in preparative and process high-performance and medium-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC and MPLC), customised liquid handling systems, and produces customer-specific assemblies for medical diagnostic and laboratory instruments.
Owned by Alexandra Knauer since 2000, KNAUER Wissenschaftliche Geräte GmbH has manufactured high-tech laboratory instruments for more than 60 years.
Its specialities include liquid chromatography systems, equipment for the production of lipid nanoparticles (LNP skids) and high-pressure dosing solutions, sold to more than 70 countries.
