New diagnostics labs chief for RVC

Dr Libby Graham has been appointed as the new diagnostic laboratory manager at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC).
Graham starts this month at the RVC Hawkshead campus based in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, working within the college’s pathobiology and population sciences department.
The diagnostic laboratories provide specialist services for Europe’s largest small animals referral hospital, the RVC’s Queen Mother Hospital for Small Animals, as well as other national and international organisations.
A European specialist in veterinary microbiology, Graham boasts two decades’ experience in diagnostic labs and 15 years in operational management in the sector.
This includes roles as Glasgow’s School of Veterinary Medicine including registrar in infectious diseases, academic head of the Virology Diagnostic Laboratory and leading the Infectious Disease Diagnostic Laboratory.
She is also a founding diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Microbiology (ECVM) where she previously served as its secretary.
