Biotech firm Relation has more than doubled the size of its London headquarters at Regent’s Place campus.
The company, which employs machine learning and functional genomics to accelerate drug discovery, has acquired a further 7,000 sq ft at the British Land-owned site within the capital’s Knowledge Quarter.
Founded in 2020, Relation moved to the location in 2022, taking additional space in early 2024. The latest acquisition takes its footprint to 13,000 sq ft.
British Land has signed a further nine new UK-based biotech and health tech startups for its new co-working lab space at nearby Drummond Street.
British Land head of campuses at British Land Michael Wiseman said: “We’ve created a unique ecosystem for London where science and technology businesses can grow, providing space for businesses at every stage of their journey.
“Our hub helps businesses become operational quickly, optimising their science and scaling from here.”
The Knowledge Quarter includes research institutions such as The Francis Crick and Turing institutes and The Wellcome Trust , as well as UCL and research hospital UCLH, which together carry out an estimated half of all early phase clinical trials in cell and gene therapy in the UK.
