The Paint and Ink database offers the formulation chemist more than 2500 trade and industrial coatings and ink prototype formulations
Formulator Software has announced its release of the integration of the Paint and Ink Formulations Database with the chemical version of Formulator.
This database will allow users to easily transfer raw material, formulary and procedural data directly into Formulator's lab book saving considerable time and effort.
This Paint and Ink formulations database is a compilation of the well-known and consulted print volumes by Ernest Flick published during the last decade.
The formulation chemist, consultant and researcher will be able to install the data on their Windows based computer and with Formulator also installed; they will be able to selectively import formulations with their ingredients into Formulator for analysis and testing.
The database can also be used as a standalone resource to review key paint or ink properties, film properties, trade names of components and formula source.
In many cases suggested formula modifications are given as well.
This release follows the June 2006 integration of Sittig's Hazardous Chemicals Database feeding hazardous materials data into the Regulator MSDS generator module of the Formulator suite, the August 2006 release of the Cosmetics and Toiletries formulation database into the cosmetics version of Formulator and the September release of the Advanced Cleaning Products formulations database.
Future releases will include the integration of technical materials data for agricultural chemical products.
Plans are in process to continue to update and add to all of the released databases.
