Guava Technologies has announced the recent appointment of Donald D Huffman as chief financial officer (CFO)
"We are pleased to announce the addition of Donald Huffman to our senior team," said Lawrence Bruder, Guava Technologies's CEO and president.
"Don brings extensive experience and management leadership in finance, capital markets and operations at both public and private companies.
"His skill set will be advantageous both in managing the finances of the business and in establishing new partnerships to develop and expand our key business segments".
Huffman stated: "I am very pleased to be joining the company at an exciting phase in its growth and development.
"Guava has attained a leadership position in life science research and clinical diagnostics, and I look forward to contributing to the achievement of the company's longer-term financial goals." Huffman has more than 25 years of financial experience and leadership with Fortune 200, mid-sized and emerging growth companies, including senior management positions with several life science companies.
He was most recently chief financial officer and principal of Sanderling Ventures, a biomedical venture capital firm.
Previously, he was chief financial officer for Genteric and three publicly traded companies: Microcide Pharmaceuticals, Celtrix Pharmaceuticals, and EndoSonics, a medical device company.
He received a BS from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from State University of New York at Buffalo.
He also served as a US army officer in Germany for three years.
