PDS Pathology Data Systems has a clinical pathology module for its ToxData system that it says greatly simplifies the data acquisition and reporting of preclinical studies
The clinical pathology module for ToxData interfaces with a wide variety of clinical pathology instruments and the company develops interfaces for new instruments quickly as they are needed.
The software is part of the preclinical suite that also includes general toxicology, resource planning, study planning, colony management, statistics, formulation, and dosing as part of ToxData.
Necropsy, histology, and microscopy are part of the PathData system and repro/teratology is handled by the ReproData system.
All three systems are modular, so users only need to license what they need.
They are tightly integrated, allowing for true single-entry and are protocol driven.
What is really remarkable, says PDS, is that this same software that is used by seven of the top ten pharmaceutical companies is available to smaller users on a subscription basis through the PDS hosting centre.
This means that users can use this world-class software with virtually no up-front capital expense and simply pay-as-you-go.
The systems are fully Part 11 compliant and can be used for GLP and non-GLP studies.
