WEEE Directive requires an up-to-date BS EN 50419.
BS EN 50419:2006 Marking of electrical and electronic equipment in accordance with Article 11(2) of Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE).
If you use BS EN 50419:2005 it is important that you know about the revised edition.
Following a review by the European Commission, some significant changes have been introduced which means BS EN 50419:2005 has been replaced by BS EN 50419:2006.
For full compliance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive, it is important that you have the most up-to-date version.
The marking serves to clearly identify the producer of the equipment and that the equipment has been put on the market after 13 August 2005.
BS EN 50419:2006 replaces BS EN 50419:2005 which has been withdrawn.
