Combining outstanding optical performance with elegant ergonomics, the Eclipse E100 creates a new entry point into the benefits of Nikon's acclaimed chromatic-free infinity (CFI) optics
With the launch of the Eclipse E100 educational microscope, Nikon says producing high quality images has never been so simple or convenient.
Whether in the hands of a student, operating a microscope for the very first time, or an expert who needs a rugged, portable back-up option, the latest edition to the Eclipse range delivers clear, bright images at every magnification.
Combining outstanding optical performance with elegant ergonomics, the Eclipse E100 creates a new entry point into the benefits of Nikon's acclaimed chromatic-free infinity (CFI) optics.
These excel at correcting for both chromatic aberration and curvature of the field of view.
The result is a true-to-life, flat image right across the entire field of view.
Simple and robust, the Eclipse E100 incorporates a number of design features that protect slides and objectives from damage.
Even when using short working distance objectives, the upper limit of the stage movement can be set so that the lens does not hit the specimen slide.
The Eclipse E100 has also been designed to be used with a range of auxiliary components and accessories.
This creates the opportunity to equip the E100 with phase contrast illumination or attach a Nikon camera for digital image capture.
"The Eclipse E100 is perfect for educational institutions and research establishments looking for a portable back-up," said Chay Keogh, marketing manager, Nikon UK Instruments.
"We have responded to the demands of our users for a simple, robust microscope, yet want the performance that comes from our revolutionary CFI optical system."
