Camlab says it has now completed its search for most of the new key employee positions within the company after a restructuring earlier in 2006
Tony Withers has been appointed sales director for Camlab, taking up his new position from 2 January 2007.
With a strong scientific background from the clinical and industrial markets, Withers brings a wealth of sales experience and customer knowledge having been with VWR International for the past 16 years where he was the UK sales manager.
"I am delighted to be part of the new Camlab" says Tony Withers.
"It has a well established market presence in the industrial, science and utilities sector with great potential to diversify into new market areas.
"With a strong leadership team and investment in systems and people we will build on our reputation of choice, service and trust and will bring out the real difference of combining products, application support and after sales services together to provide real value added solutions to satisfy our customers current and future business problems and service expectations".
Managing director Ben Sunderland added that "Tony Withers will provide Camlab with the right customer focus to achieve the future expansion of products and services at Camlab, Tony will join the board at Camlab and is part of a very strong new senior management team, to drive the business forward into the 21st century.
"His skills will complement those of Rowan Maulder, marketing and operations director, John Bradshaw, finance director, and Paul Stockton, export sales director and managing director for Patterson Scientific, (recently acquired by Camlab)".
The board is chaired by Bill Mason.
Camlab says it has now completed its search for most of the new key employee positions within the company after a restructuring earlier in 2006.
With over 50% of the staff at Camlab having technical or science qualifications to degree level or higher the company has a real opportunity to exploit the in-house expertise of its staff.
Ben Sunderland said: "We have an energetic and dynamic mixture of experience with highly qualified new staff and an experienced management team to exploit existing and new products being introduced in 2007.
"Camlab is ideally placed to sell and support a range of value added products that require service, maintenance and repair, and are willing to strategically invest in the right products, at the right price, with the right partners for the future".
