Hiden Analytical is celebrating 25 years of design and manufacture of instrumentation for gas and vapour measurement
Hiden Analytical was officially launched at the end of 1981 to manufacture reliable, high performance instrumentation for use in gas measurement in research and process applications, producing its first instrument in 1982 - the Hal I quadrupole mass spectrometer for gas analysis at ultrahigh vacuum.
After 25 years Hiden says it has grown to become a global leader in its field, using state-of-the-art technology to provide leading edge solutions through diverse gas measurement applications.
The successful Hiden philosophy involves working closely with both industry and academia to develop and maintain a high level of product innovation and excellence.
Hiden react to individual needs, designing systems to provide solutions to real-world problems.
Managing director Ian Neale comments on this approach: "Undertaking to develop solutions to specific customer requirements frequently throws up innovations in product design and operating procedures which can then be fed back through our product portfolio.
"We keep ahead of our competitors by applying this ongoing process of product improvement.
"Whatever the task each product, whether standard or a special development, is treated with the same scientific rigour".
The Hiden range has extended to address many diverse application fields including gas analysis, gas sorption studies, surface science and plasma physics.
The Hiden group serves a world-wide client base coordinated from its two manufacturing, research and development facilities in Warrington, England.
Around 85 employees in England and its USA subsidiary offices in New Hampshire, Michigan and Texas provide the core of the development, manufacturing and support efforts.
A network of agents and distributors throughout Europe, Asia, South America and Australasia add further extensive support to the Hiden users in many of the world's most successful hi-tech manufacturing companies.
