Camlab's novel 'Double Tamper Proof' closure provides secure transport and storage for a wide range of applications including drugs of abuse, raw material testing and forensic sampling
The introduction of this new 150ml bottle provides double protection with its two security rings.
The bottle is delivered with the cap in place and the first security seal intact, ensuring nothing can be added to the bottle before sampling takes place.
Unscrewing the cap and opening the sample bottle releases the first security ring which is retained on the neck of the bottle.
The bottle can then be used to collect and store the sample before the cap is replaced and re-sealed.
This then engages a second security ring which will break if any attempt is made to tamper with the sample during transit or prior to testing in a controlled environment.
"Initial trials have proved extremely positive", says Louise Pedlar, senior business development manager at Camlab.
"Our customers particularly like the extra security of knowing the bottle has not been interfered with before or after sampling.
"In addition, the fact that the rings are retained on the neck provides a good visual indicator and helps to minimise the environmental impact compared to tear-off ring designs".
Using advanced injection moulding techniques this worldwide patented design has a wide opening that lends itself well to different sized bottles which can be made of a variety of materials.
