Picometrics will provide the Agilent capillary electrophoresis (CE) system coupled with the Picometrics laser induced fluorescence (LIF) detector
Agilent Technologies and Picometrics havetoday announced a nonexclusive value added reseller (VAR) agreement through which Picometrics will provide the Agilent capillary electrophoresis (CE) system coupled with the Picometrics laser induced fluorescence (LIF) detector.
The agreement is expected to lead to new solutions for the pharmaceutical and environmental industries.
The arrangement provides for integration of the LIF inside the Agilent CE cassette to maintain temperature control and to allow for minimum capillary length.
The collaboration will facilitate improved integration of these complementary technologies, addressing the increasing need for sensitive detection of proteins, peptides, carbohydrates, amino acids and oligonucleotides.
"This agreement extends the capabilities of our CE system into new application areas," said Agilent's Tony Owen, marketing manager, liquid phase analysis products.
"This agreement shows our commitment to CE as part of Agilent's market-leading separations portfolio".
"We are excited to have the opportunity to provide a complete CE-LIF solution for our customers," said Picometrics vice president Pierre Naccache.
"This agreement will provide easy access to CE-LIF for pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers in research and quality control, and will enable the development of new applications."
