Scott Specialty Gases has introduced the model 8404E, an electronic, programmable switchover manifold for use with compressed specialty gases
This fully automatic manifold controls gas delivery from two independent banks of high-pressure cylinders.
It features an integrated circuit that electronically monitors and displays cylinder bank pressure as well as delivery pressure.
Changeover between banks occurs automatically when one bank is depleted.
Thus, the model 8404E ensures a continuous and uninterrupted supply of gas without the need to manually reset levers or valves.
Scott's model 8404E manifold easily accommodates future cylinder expansion by simply adding header extensions.
Available with either brass or stainless steel regulators, delivery pressure may be set from 10 to 225psig, with a maximum flow rate of 1200scfh (at 225psig of air).
Maximum inlet pressure is 3000psig.
An audible/visual alarm is standard.
On-site telemetry is available as an option.
The model 8404E joins Scott's 8404 for general continuous gas delivery and the 8404L for use with a liquid reservoir source.
It comes complete with an electronic control box that displays delivery and cylinder pressures, as well as a remote annunciator.
