During the visit, the staff made a general introduction of SGS as well as its development in China, and allowed the group to visit various product test laboratories
In the morning of 15 March 2007, a study tour from ETH Zurich Switzerland visited the Guangzhou Branch of SGS.
The group comprising two professors and 32 students, aimed to visit well-known multinational corporations within the territory of China, such as SGS, to get to know their management, organisational structures and operation situations etc.
During the visits the students showed strong interest in product test methods and instruments considering it a great opportunity to be able to visit an authoritative testing organization like SGS and have access to relevant testing domains.
SGS also showed a strong interest in such an event, considering it a promising beginning for further cooperation and exchanges with colleges and universities of Switzerland.
It was also a chance to upgrade to some degree the popularity of SGS among the experts and engineers of tomorrow.
