Image Solutions has launched the PersonalDV system to provide high-resolution fixed and live-cell imaging system needs in a single, integrated bench top design
The PersonalDV is ideal for individual scientists who wish to have the advantages of the DeltaVision exclusively available to them in their own laboratory.
Designed by Applied Precision for the budget-minded facility with limited space, the PersonalDV is said to have an excellent data storage and management system.
Ian Corless MD of Image Solutions, said: "We are taking the DeltaVision platform to new heights both economically and technologically.
"There is an ever increasing need for optimised live cell imaging performance and now scientists can have it all and at an economical cost".
Applied Precision's proprietary illumination design features a Xenon light source to provide over 1000 hours of continuous illumination for the long-term studies required in live-cell imaging.
Combined with a newly designed ten-position excitation filter wheel and six-position emission filter wheel, the PersonalDV provides fast multi-channel acquisition for imaging.
A new integrated instrument control system and microscope interface chassis, in combination with Applied Precision's NanoMotion III technology, create our most sophisticated microscope control system.
This integration design enables increased performance, faster acquisition and more reliability with fewer servicing needs.
Each PersonalDV system is designed as a platform with the capability for outstanding upgrades and options available for the larger DeltaVision core system.
These include multiplexed wavelengths imaging (EGFP/mCherry Polychroic and CFP/YFP Polychroic with Dual band EM), live-cell filter set, WeatherStation environmental control, Softworx suite visualisation and analysis software, DMS lab server and the stand-alone Softworx workstation.
Additional upgrades include the 50mm wide-travel stage, the CoolSnap HQ2 camera, DeltaVision Isolation Table and a larger 24inch LCD monitor.
