Oslo-based Houm, founded in 1926, represents a wide range of laboratory instrument manufacturers, with customers in medical, industrial and academic research
Eksigent, a developer of advanced low-flow fluid delivery technologies for drug discovery and other life science applications, has announced a new distribution agreement with Houm.
The agreement covers sales and service of Eksigent's NanoLC HPLC product line in Norway.
"We have added Houm to our growing global network because of its well-established reach in the Norwegian research market," commented David Weber, Eksigent's president and CEO.
"In addition to 80-plus years of experience, it has an excellent team of sales, technical and service engineers".
"We are excited to bring Eksigent's innovative instruments to our offering," said Rolf Morch, general manager of Houm.
"These products will help us better serve our customers, particularly those in proteomics applications".
Eksigent's NanoLC-1D and NanoLC-2D proteomics systems incorporate proprietary microfluidic flow control technology to eliminate the need for flow splitting, resulting in high reproducibility and sensitivity with minimal solvent waste.
The company recently added Maldi spotting capability to this product line, enabling use of the systems with Maldi or nanospray MS.
