Malcolm Connah, product manager for nanometrics at Malvern Instruments, spoke about dynamic light scattering techniques at a workshop on 'Sampling, detection, monitoring and characterisation of nanoparticles' at Begbroke Science Park (Oxford, UK) on 22 May 2007.
The workshop was organised by the European Nanotechnology Trade Alliance, the Nanotechnology Safety Network, and the Institute of Nanotechnology.
It provided a forum for instrument manufacturers and users to discuss the parameters of most significance in the environmental and health and safety contexts, the capabilities of particular instrumental techniques, and any requirements in the nanotechnology community that cannot yet be addressed using available technology.
