Genevac has been appointed European support centre for SP Industries, a manufacturer of laboratory equipment and glassware for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, educational, and OEM markets
The appointment follows the acquisition of Genevac by SP Industries from Thermo Fisher Scientific earlier this year.
Reflecting upon the appointment, Rob Darrington, business development manager, commented: "The strong synergy existing between Genevac evaporators and SP Industries's VirTis freeze dryers, pilot plant and production scale lyophilisers, FTS Systems thermal control systems, Hotpack washers and dryers, Hull lyophilisers and Wilmad Lab Glass is very exciting".
He added "We will now be able to offer and support European scientists with a comprehensive range of top quality products that will enable improvements in productivity and sample preparation as well as enhancing laboratory safety".
Founded in 1990, Genevac today employs around 85 people, with manufacturing, R+D and marketing headquartered in Ipswich, UK.
In Europe, outside the company headquarters, Genevac maintains sales and service staff based at offices in Lyon, France and Wiesbaden, Germany to provide efficient and informed service to its European customers.
