All working measuring instruments used in China in trade, medical treatment and health, safety protection, and environmental monitoring are subject to compulsory verification
In accordance with important measures taken by the government of the People's Republic of China (PRC) to develop and promote metrology, Lloyd Instruments reports that its entire range of Plus and EZ materials testing machines (1kN to 150kN), the FTPlus friction tester and the TAPlus texture analyser have been granted Pattern Approval and are therefore approved for import into the country.
Lloyd Instruments is one of the first manufacturers in its field to be granted this approval.
The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China has the responsibility of verifying and approving equipment used for calibration and measurement purposes in China and is responsible for issuing pattern approval.
Lloyd Instruments's managing director, David Greer, said: "In compliance with Chinese laws and regulations on metrology, all 13 instruments from the Lloyd Instruments Plus series range have been inspected by one of the Department of Metrology's accredited laboratories.
"All machines have been verified for accuracy and approved for use.
"We are delighted to have secured this approval", he continued.
"We recently attended the ChinaPlas 2007 exhibition in Guangzhou and our equipment was extremely well received.
"Now we have the pattern approval for so many instruments, customers in China will find the purchase process much simpler".
