Data Translation has announced its DT9853 Series of low cost USB bus-powered D/A modules optimised for use in harsh environments
Contrary to the popular use of USB modules in benign lab-type applications, the DT9853 series is fully isolated to +-300V and provides voltage as well as the industrial standard 0 to 20mA current outputs concurrently.
They operate as high speed USB devices for maximum speed and accuracy.
According to Fred Molinari, president, and CEO of Data Translation, "The DT9853 Series is ideal for process control, control loop, and test applications requiring stable and accurate output signals.

The DT9853 Series of low cost analogue output and digital I/O modules for the USB bus offer the following features:.

All DT9853 Series modules ship with the Omni CD which offers a variety of software tools and libraries.
