Tip size is encoded in the piston for recognition by electronic repeating pipettes, making it easier to select the volume to be dispensed and resulting in improved accuracy and higher efficiency
New Anachem Positive Displacement SyringeTips The latest addition to Anachem's liquid handling range is the Positive Displacement (PD)-Tip with tip size encoding.
These PD-Tips are said to be ideal for Eppendorf Multipette 4780/Repeater, EDOS 5221, and other compatible repeating pipette systems.
Anachem PD Tips have an extended piston design that effectively minimises dead volume and improves reagent utilisation.
Improved sealing between the piston and cylinder secures optimal fit, jerk-free operation and constant moving forces.
They are available with a dispensing volume range from 100ul up to 50ml.
The tips are conformity certified and made from high-end materials without any chemical additives.
PD-Tips do not contain any lubricant, and are available sterile.
The size of Anachem PD tips is encoded in their piston so they can be recognised by electronic repeating pipettes with this function.
Once the tip has been inserted the size is automatically recognised and displayed, making it easier to select the volume to be dispensed resulting in improved accuracy and higher efficiency.
When a new PD-Tip of the same size is inserted, all instrument settings are maintained.
