Name change 'reflects vision for allowing clients to rapidly access powerful technology that is having a significant impact on protein production and analysis in major pharma and biotech companies'
Novexin announces it company will be changing its name to Expedeon Protein Solutions.
Following an extensive strategic review of the Novexin offering, Expedeon Protein Solutions has been chosen as the name which best fits the changing face of Novexin's business.
The name, apparently, signals Novexin's expansion beyond its core NVoy novel polymer technology, a system for enhancing protein stability, solubility and purification, to encompass the increasing commercial profile of its protein assay and detection products.
The new business name also demonstrates the company's renewed focus on providing innovative protein technologies to existing and emerging international academic institutes, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
Daniel Jones, CEO, explained: "To meet the needs of our loyal pharma and biotech client base, as well as match the increase in interest in protein therapies in emerging markets such as China and India, we have enhanced our capabilities to create a more robust, highly competitive and fully integrated protein processing and analysis business.
"This is why we are pleased to be implementing a new name because Expedeon Protein Solutions reflects our commitment to providing simple and elegant solutions for these markets.
"We look forward to continuing to work with our supportive existing clients and to raising awareness for new international clients of the benefits Expedeon Protein Solutions' excellent technology will bring to their protein based research."
