PR consultancy Scott Partnership, plus Laboratorytalk's own Andrew Long, will present a short course at Pittcon 2008 entitled 'Using the media for effective communication'
This course will focus on using the media to achieve business objectives, and will take place over half a day during Pittcon 2008 at the Ernest N Morial Convention Centre, New Orleans on 5 March 2008 from 1.00pm-5.00pm.
It is aimed at manufacturers, service providers and distributors to laboratories and scientific customers worldwide, and is structured to cover a variety of topics including online marketing and driving web traffic, the difference between advertising and editorial and what works, and geographical reach and how the media can help reach target audiences.
The short course will be an interactive session with real-life examples and case-studies.
The short course will be hosted by Laura Browne and Fiona Robinson and will feature a presentation by Andrew Long, sales manager for Laboratorytalk and other Pro-Talk websites.
Laura Browne is an account director at Scott Partnership and has extensive knowledge and experience in designing, implementing and managing global PR campaigns and press events for a wide range of clients.
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and has a BSc in psychology and a postgraduate qualification in law.
Fiona Robinson is a senior account manager with specialist knowledge and experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, having worked in the exhibition and events industry for over 12 years, she is perfectly placed to provide guidance and advice to those wanting to learn about media communication in scientific markets.
