Progen Scientific Limited continues its long term relationship with Priorclave by internationally launching the new Opal range of laboratory autoclaves
With the new Opal range, Progen Scientific says it aims to provide a low-cost alternative to the increasingly sophisticated and complex equipment generally available in the market.
As an entry-level range Opal provides four options starting with a 35 litre bench-top model, moves up to 55 litre and 95 litre top loading models and completed by a 125 litre bench-top model with optional floor mounting stand.
The Opal range of autoclaves has been specifically designed by Priorclave to perform everyday laboratory autoclaving functions, such as growth media preparation and laboratory waste sterilisation.
Progen Scientific is well known for providing high value equipment at sensible price.
With the Opal range, the intention is to enable laboratories to perform operations to their own laboratory specific requirements, without unnecessary expenditure on additional functions and control systems often fitted as standard on today's autoclaves, for more exacting procedures.
That is not to say that the Opal range does not feature some essential features.
They include automatic free steaming, a thermal safety lock, operation up to 138C and 2.4bar and management through a slimmed down version of Priorclave's tried and tested Tactrol microprocessor control system.
Based around Priorclave's existing product range, the Opal models from Progen Scientific are fully compliant and CE marked in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive (97/23/EC) and other relevant directives and standards.
