Formulator Software announced and demonstrated the new Formulator features and functions of its Lab-Book concept at the Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy
This new set of powerful Windows software tools for the formulation chemist and food technologist has been developed as an affordable alternative to spread sheets and home grown systems.
Continued development of dynamic concepts in formulation tools ensures Formulator users even more rapid development of new formulations as well as modification and improvement of old formulations with full data management behind the functions, says the company.
Freed from the limitations of most other lab software packages, Formulator Lab-Book supports user-settable calculation of performance properties, materials cost calculations and variable weights and measure as the formula is created in weight and/or volume or %.
Jim DeGroff, managing partner of Formulator Software, said: "Our software philosophy is to provide the chemist with powerful software logic and data management functions yet ease of navigation and use".
The new Lab-book formulation functions is an outgrowth of the successful Formulator program used and tested by thousands of experienced formulation chemists in the paint, adhesives, ink, specialty chemicals, cosmetics, food and drug industries.
Formulator Lab-Book is available as a single user or network version for the R+D and development laboratory.
Serving as the technology laboratory data developer and manager Formulator can be integrated with full ERP batch manufacturing software.
The software program is available on CD or can be downloaded to be tested live at no charge by qualified formulation chemists and food technologists.
Lab-Book can be upgraded to Lab-Book Plus and all other modules of the Formulator suite.
