Malvern Instruments and NDC Infrared Engineering will exhibit jointly at Europact 2008 in Frankfurt, hosting a stand where the focus will be analytical systems for fluidised bed applications
The two companies offer a suite of technologies for monitoring and control, which includes options for at-, in- and on-line analysis.
Neil Lewis, Malvern's chief technology officer, will give the plenary lecture on 24 April covering 'The evolution of chemical imaging from a novel technology to a routine laboratory and process analytical tool'.
Europact 2008 is the first European Conference on process analytics and control technology.
Commenting on the collaboration, Oliver Schmitt, business line manager for Malvern Process Systems said: "Malvern and NDC have valuable and complementary solutions for fluidised bed applications".
"Fluidised beds are used in a range of processes including granulation, a key unit operation, particularly for the pharmaceutical industry".
A live fluidised bed display will demonstrate the capabilities of the Parsum in-line probe for particle size measurement.
Malvern will also exhibit the new Insitec Voyager, a mobile, laser diffraction particle size analyser that connects to the process providing real-time measurement, when and where it is required.
NDC Infrared Engineering will display two unique on-line NIR controls that incorporate the NDC series 710 NIR light-engine and are unaffected by product fouling.
These systems present a viable in-process alternative to loss on drying, and enable suitable product development methods to be implemented in manufacturing as analytical control solutions.
While the Malvern and NDC are focusing on fluidisation at this event, both companies offer an extensive range of technology for a wide variety of applications.
Technical specialists will be on hand throughout to discuss customer requirements.
