Prior Scientific announces the establishment of its new subsidiary which has now opened offices in the Technology and Innovation Park on Jena's Beutenberg Campus.
From its new base Prior introduces direct sales and customer support for its products and services in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
As part of its expansion in central Europe, Prior is also introducing a new team.
Ines Klauke, based in Munich, is now representing Prior in southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland, while Bernd Zeiss, the new representative for north-western Germany, is based near the town of Kassel.
Both bring several years of sales and support experience in the areas of scientific instrumentation and clinical sciences into their new roles.
Prior is also looking to recruit engineers to improve custom product development and tech support.
The new team is led by Holger Ruchatz, who is now based in Jena: "As a local cluster for optical technologies and precision mechanics Jena is an ideal base for us.
"The region stands for cutting-edge technology and we see a lot of exciting synergies for future product development.
"We hope to use these advantages to grow our business and to expand our position as a market leader in microscope automation.
