Innovative dosing of micro amounts of drugs are now available in Britain after Isopak was granted the exclusive distribution rights in the UK and Ireland for a new range of pharmaceutical equipment
Isopak will be the sole agent for the delivery and servicing of Italian manufacturer MG2's automatic capsule filling machines, which include capsule weight control systems.
The Nett weighing system, for example, is designed to accurately calculate the net weight of the product dosed - particularly critical for the success of premetered dry powder inhalers, the cornerstone for the treatment of respiratory ailments such as asthma - by checking the weight of the empty and then the filled capsule.
Isopak's selection of versatile, precision-built capsule filling equipment includes the Compact, Suprema, G70, G100, G140, Planeta and the top-of-the-range automatic G250, which is capable of filling capsules with powder, pellets, tablets, micro-tablets or a combination of these from as low as 6,000 capsules per hour up to 200,000 capsules per hour.
Isopak managing director Robin Davies is confident these high-quality machines will provide the ideal solution for the reliable filling of very tiny amounts of drugs.
He said: "Accurate capsule filling, particularly when dosing milligram amounts of powder, is critical for many pharmaceutical products such as inhalers.
"These high-quality machines coupled with Isopak's experience in the sector, is an ideal combination for those customers who need stringent control of the filling process".
Isopak is a player in the supply of equipment to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
Machines offered include tablet presses, blistering units, capsule processing and filling - all suitable for a wide range of applications.
