Formulator Lab-Book with the Regulator module allows the formulation chemist or regulatory agent to develop and create Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) forms and hazardous container labels
Jim DeGroff, managing partner of Formulator Software, and Mike Harvey, president of Nexreg Compliance agree to a venture combining the Formulator software MSDS development tools with Nexreg's regulatory knowledge and translation skills.
This supplies clients of the two companies with software tools, regulatory guidance and translation services to meet the wide range of regulatory requirements to provide worker safety information to manufacturers of chemical products.
Jim DeGroff indicated: "Companies can no longer depend on a part time internal effort to meet regulatory challenges.
"The alliance with Nexreg provides a partner with the regulatory skills and translation services to insure Regulator module users have regulatory technical support.
"This includes entering the proper hazardous material data, selecting the proper warning phrases, designing the forms and providing translation services.
"This support is now available to Formulator Users to output MSDS forms for Nafta shipments and to meet the variety of USA state requirements.
"With the interest in the new EU Reach and GHS requirements we needed a partner that had a global perspective and Nexreg met the criteria.
Mike Harvey replied: "Formulator provides the best cost performance MSDS authoring tools we have seen.
"It is already set-up to comply with both North American and EU 16 part ISO format MSDS forms".
"The Regulator module has the capability to support multi-language output tied to one or more sets of forms logic and the data can be easily configured to meet any number of jurisdictional regulations.
"We plan to use Formulator to aid users of the Regulator module and we look forward to adding it to our in-house suite of tools and databases".
Nexreg will assist Formulator users to develop the data and logic to meet the various jurisdictional regional safe handling requirements.
Where necessary Nexreg also has the technical and language expertise to translate the warning and usage information into any language needed.
