With air being used for many applications, some more obvious than others, solving OEM problems with compressed air is easier than you think
For example, in hospital environments the outstanding performance, rugged design and quiet operation of the Gast Group's range of oil-less rocking pistons makes them the natural choice for laboratory applications.
In particular the lightweight design makes them ideal for body fluid analysis equipment, where pressure and vacuum is required from a single compressor, with pressure used to operate the small cylinders used to move blood, urine or other body fluids through the machine, and vacuum required to transport liquid samples and reagents.
The rocking piston range - which is available in standard, twin, and miniature styles - is available with air flow rates to 9.35m3/h (3.4lpm to 5.5cfm), vacuum capacities to 31mbar (29inch Hg) and pressures up to 12bar (175psig).
Corrosion resistant and tank models are available together with a complete range of recommended accessories.
Bespoke versions can also be manufactured to special order for OEM quantities.
For worldwide applications, dual-frequency, shaded-pole and permanent split capacitor (psc) electric motors with AC multi-voltages are also available.
And brush and brushless DC models are available in 6, 12, and 24volt formats, with horsepower for both AC and DC models ranging from 0.04 to 0.37kW (1/20 to 1/2HP).
