Alpha thermostats are successor to the A class

The user can now access high-quality temperature control equipment with a modern design in the form of the newly developed Lauda Alpha equipment range
By reducing functionality to the essentials, Lauda is able to offer equipment which it says has the best price-performance ratio in this class.
The use of high-quality components and materials, for example stainless steel for the baths, guarantee robust cooling and heating thermostats with a long operating life.
The control console with its three button operation and large, easily readable LED display are common to all this range.
These features ensure simple and clear operation as well as easy navigation through the menu.
The thermostats are suitable for use with non-flammable liquids (water, water/glycol mixtures).
Both internal and external thermostating can be reliably undertaken in the temperature range of between -25 and 85C with the new Lauda Alpha equipment.
The temperature stability of +/-0.05 K provides the user with the possibility of precise heating and cooling suitable for a broad spectrum of applications.
One-point calibration of the thermostats can be performed by the user.
A pressure pump with a pressure of 0.2bar and a maximum pump flow of 15l/min circulates the temperature liquid.
The pump flow rate can be reduced to 5l/min by means of a reducer which is contained in the pump as a standard feature.
Safety functions such as alarms, warnings and malfunctions are indicated on the LED display.
The immersion thermostat A can be used for any bath by means of the screw clamp included in the scope of delivery.
Using the optional pump circulation set and a cooling coil, the immersion thermostat can be expanded to form a fully-fledged thermostating system.
When combined with stainless steel baths with volumes of 6, 12 or 24 litres, the result is three heating thermostats termed A6, A12 or A24.
The immersion thermostat and the heating thermostats operate in the temperature range between 25 and 85 C with a heating capacity of 1.5kW for the 230V version.
As in the case of the immersion thermostats, a cooling coil and pump circulation set are available as optional accessories for the heating thermostats.
The cooling thermostats RA8, RA12 and RA24 also offer bath capacities of between 8 and 24litres.
The applications that can be operated with this equipment can be thermostated between -25 and 85C.
At a temperature of 20C, the RA cooling thermostat provides a cooling capacity of 225W.
Using the RA12, a cooling capacity of 325W is available to the user.
The RA24 rounds off the portfolio with 425W of available cooling capacity.
Lauda says it has not neglected to integrate functions which provide genuine advantages for the user.
Thus, all cooling thermostats contain a compressor system which can be switched on or off as required.
As well as conserving energy, it also saves wear and tear on the compressor and, last but not least, contributes to a longer working life for the equipment.
In addition, the automatic cooling system enables cooling to take place through the entire temperature range of -25 to 85C.
A further useful feature of the cooling thermostats is the front plate which can be quickly removed to make cleaning of the condenser easy.
A drain connection on the rear of the equipment makes emptying the temperature fluid a simple job.
Bath covers and pump kits are included in the standard equipment.
The Lauda Alpha range of thermostats is ideally suited for reliable thermostating in fields such as medical serology or the preparation of samples for chemical/pharmaceutical analysis.
Further typical applications are simple temperature uses in medicine, quality assurance and chemical analysis.
