An independent study published in the Journal of Hospital Infection has confirmed the effectiveness of Tristel sporicidal wipes against mycobacterium avium.
The chlorine dioxide-based disinfectant wipes were mycobactericidal in just 30 seconds' contact time.
The wipes kill all organisms on pre-cleaned surfaces, from which soil and organic matter have been removed.
They are a high-level disinfectant for non-lumened medical instruments that cannot be immersed in liquid disinfectants or sterilised by heat, such as ENT scopes, ultrasound transducers and cardiology equipment.
