Peter Haynes has joined Refac from the Australian Safety and Compensation Council (ASCC) where he was director of the chemical standards section.
An experienced toxicologist in Europe and Australia, Peter has recently been working with chemical industry stakeholders regarding implementation of the REACH policy.
He is also involved in GHS (Globally Harmonized System of labelling and classification of chemicals) and has been assessing the impact on Australia and setting policy for classification, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) and labelling.
With experience in conducting evaluations on new chemicals and in public health assessments on new and existing industrial chemicals, Peter Haynes is well placed to assist companies in the preparation of information and data assessment throughout the REACH registration process.
