MD Anderson Cancer Center has expanded its site-license for Nexus Copy Number from Biodiscovery, a tool designed for scientists to analyse and visualise chromosomal aberrations from microarray data.
Dr Latha Ramdas, scientific applications specialist at MD Anderson, said: 'Nexus Copy Number software is used by researchers to process vast amounts of data from multiple array platforms in a short time frame.
'The use of the software exceeded our expectations, so we have now extended the licensing to enterprise level.' Nexus Copy Number can integrate data from thousands of arrays in a single project.
It supports various array platforms and associated software including Agilent, Affymetrix, Illumina, Genepix, Bluefuse, Imagene, Roche Nimblegen, Empire Genomics and custom data files.
External data such as expression and MiRNA can also be integrated, giving researchers a tool that provides gain and loss frequency information, class comparison analysis, frequency-based clustering and gene enrichment analysis.
It provide results on a set of array data, plus statistical data and reports on individual samples.
