The premium line planetary ball mill from Fritsch produces nano-sized particles for the increasing demands within industry and research for even smaller sized particles.
The new feature of the premium line is the integration of the grinding bowls into the 'sun disk' of the mill.
Recessing the grinding bowls eliminates the risk of damage to the mill, the sample and milling bowls at high speed.
This allows the premium line to attain speeds of up to 1100rpm, generating over 150 per cent more energy for milling compared to other models, said Fritsch.
Advanced technology and built-in safety checks reduce the grinding time to reach the nanometer sizes that were previously unobtainable by conventional ball mills.
Computer control and communication ensure easy operation and method validation.
