Tempsys has announced that its Checkpoint wireless system has been installed at the Children's Hospital in Aurora, CO.
The installation consists of approximately 450 sensors.
Through the technical collaboration of Checkpoint and Mobile Access, the wireless sensors can communicate directly to the Distributed Antenna System (DAS).
An installation of this size typically requires about 60 repeaters deployed throughout the building, but the DAS eliminates the need for repeaters Mobile Access can deliver any mix of wireless services over a single, broadband infrastructure to anywhere in the building, With a DAS interface, the Checkpoint system at Children's Hospital has been installed without the use of a single repeater, reducing total cost and time of installation.
The user can now add new temperature sensors in the future anywhere in the hospital with any concern for wireless connectivity.
