Bio-Rad Laboratories has announced the availability of two fast supermixes that enable more reliable quantitative PCR (QPCR) results in less than 40 minutes.
The Itaq fast supermixes with ROX can be used on a variety of instruments, including ROX-dependent real-time PCR systems.
They are designed to deliver maximum QPCR efficiency, sensitivity and specificity, and a robust fluorescent signal under fast or standard cycling conditions with any real-time detection chemistry.
The supermixes are preblended with hot-start Itaq DNA polymerase, optimised buffer, nucleotides and ROX passive reference dye.
The one-tube formulations correct inter-well signal variation, enabling life-science researchers to obtain specific, sensitive and fast QPCR results of low abundance targets.
Bio-Rad said that the Itaq fast supermix with ROX delivers good results for gene expression analysis.
Simultaneous detection of two gene targets using fluorogenic probes can be performed reliably, with no observed differences for detection of low-expressing genes in singleplex or duplex.
The Itaq SYBR Green supermix with ROX is formulated for optimal results in real-time QPCR assays, giving good amplification sensitivity and specificity using fast cycling protocols.
This formula yields high performance with CDNA as well as genomic and plasmid DNA templates over a broad dynamic range, achieving sensitive and specific amplification of at least seven orders of magnitude.
