Genevac has released a white paper and online video explaining the technology that enables the Rocket Evaporator to dry or concentrate six flasks five-times faster than conventional evaporators.
Downloadable from the Genevac website, the white paper explains in detail how the low temperature, low pressure steam heating technology achieves the goals of very fast evaporation with very precise temperature control to protect valuable samples.
The technique has already generated significant interest in applications including environment analysis, medicinal chemistry, natural products purification and chiral separation where large volumes of solvent typically have to be removed.
To demonstrate the operational functionality of the Rocket Evaporator Genevac has also produced an online streaming video.
Offering true unattended operation capability the Rocket Evaporator requires no training; a beginner can competently use the system in less than five minutes.
A two-stage cold trap built into the Rocket Evaporator provides high levels of solvent recovery, even with volatile organic solvents.
Requiring no peripherals for operation, the Rocket Evaporator fits on a laboratory bench or into a fume hood.
All key components on the system are user serviceable.
