Wiley-Blackwell has published the Wiley Registry 8th Edition/NIST 2008 Mass Spectral Library, the latest update of two collections in mass spectrometry.
The Wiley Registry 8th Edition features more than 560,000 spectra, more than 348,000 spectra with chemical structures and more than 2 million chemical names and synonyms.
The Wiley/NIST provides the tools for applications such as compound identification and metabolomics.
Its featured libraries include: an EI-MS library with more than 562,000 spectra; a structure library with more than 348,000 searchable structures; more than 2 million common and systematic chemical names and synonyms; an MS/MS library with more than 14,400 spectra; GC Retention Index Library with more than 43,000 entries; full NIST 2008 software suite including MS Search and AMDIS; and full NIST 2008 database installation, including Main, Rep Lib, Salts and MS/MS.
Comprehensive coverage includes small-molecule organics, pharmaceuticals, illegal drugs, poisons, pesticides, steroids, natural products, organic and inorganic compounds, chemical warfare agents and environmental pollutants.
Wiley recommends this collection as the base library for critical applications ranging from toxicology and forensics to industrial quality assurance and deformulation.
Formats include: Agilent Chemstation, NIST MS Search, Shimadzu GCMS Solution, Waters Masslynx, and Perkinelmer Turbomass.
It is compatible with instruments manufactured by most mass spectrometry instrumentation companies, including: Agilent, Bruker, JEOL, Leco, Perkinelmer, Thermofisher Scientific, Varian and Waters.
